Jim Rimmer · WHS Specialist
I'm Jim Rimmer, a WHS specialist with more than 32 years leading safety across agriculture, food processing, manufacturing, mining and logistics. I've been Group SHE Manager at SunRice and National Risk Manager at ProTen, where I built the work health and safety systems for one of the country's largest broiler operations. I'm a Chartered Fellow of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety and a lead auditor across the major ISO standards. What that means for you is simple: advice grounded in decades on real sites, not theory.

Which law applies
I work to the model WHS Act and regulations across New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia, and to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 in Victoria. The duties are similar across both, but the wording, the notification requirements and the penalties differ, so the systems I build are set up for the jurisdiction the site sits in.
